Halloween, or lack thereof, and a November goal

Last night I spent some time reading a bunch of blogs on the fun, exciting, creative things you all did for Halloween. You know what we did? I got up at 4:30 because I have this awesome head cold making it hard to sleep, went to work at 6:30 am, spent 12 1/2 hours mostly on my feet passing medication to the elderly and charting (that mostly sums up my job), came home completely exhausted, did laundry, ate the delicious dinner Ben made, cut his hair (please note that when you add up all the above factors on a lady who is 7 months pregnant you end up with a less than stellar haircut) and finally went to a friends house to hang out for a bit (so there was some fun to be had). No costumes, pumpkins, or candy.

So we really didn't do anything to celebrate Halloween, lame I know. However, I do fully intend to celebrate the upcoming holidays with gusto. The upcoming months make up one of my favorite times of the year and we have a lot to look forward to this year. To start off the Thanksgiving spirit, I'm going to try to blog every day between now and Thanksgiving about something I'm thankful for. This is not a "make sacrifices in order to accomplish it goal" but more like a "I usually don't have anything to blog about so I'll give this a try and see if I like it, no sleep lost" goal. Anyone want to join me?

  1. Are you really 7 months pregnant now?? Holy moly, that seems really far along, yay! And don't worry, our Halloween was pretty low-key this year too . . . as I will possibly recount in a blog post tonight, if I get ambitious. And I'm very excited to read your 'thankful' posts!!
