Today marks ONE YEAR since we arrived in Dominica- and what a year it has been! Ben and I were reflecting today on how crazy our journey to Dominica was- the most frustrating and chaotic travel of our lives. And that was just the beginning! Our life here has been crazy, frustrating, wonderful, stressful, beautiful and amazing. Here is our little Chase right after arriving in Dominica- has he changed or what!
In the last year we have:
spent a lot of time at the beach
Had some wonderful visitors
Seen amazing sights
enjoyed 100 beautiful sunsets
made wonderful friends
learned to make everything from scratch (bread, tortillas, etc.)
and walked over 1000 miles with this kid in the stroller.
What an amazing year it has been for our little family!
Here we are yesterday, celebrating a whole year of
experience on the beach.
With a whole year behind us,
and only four months left on the island,
I'm glad we did this.
It's been a hard and wonderful year and I know our lives will never be the same,
this island has changed us for the better.
Happy one year mark! I'm glad you guys have had this experience and that you're almost done. I cannot believe how much Chase has changed!! :)
