These pictures are from the funeral. Katie snapped this one at the cemetery. Our kids sang "I am a Child of God" for the musical number which was very sweet and cute. My dad and I both spoke. Funerals are weird and hard and I think we were all emotionally exhausted by the end of this.
The next day we did our cousin Lagoon Day! This was planned before the funeral happened, and it ended up being a perfect distraction. My mom's friend gave us super discounted passes and a free picture at her old time photo studio and we all just had the best day!
Davis kept yelling "I AM AFRAID OF NOTHING!" and he wasn't. He rode everything he was tall enough to ride and couldn't get enough. Lila loved the little kid rides and especially loved riding them with Nora, Anna and Rosie.
The kids had a blast all day. It was miraculously cool that day and the park wasn't crowded at all! So we got lots of rides in with hardly any wait. These kids had so much fun with each other and their grandparents!
Taking these pictures was a hilarious experience in and of itself! The results were too cute!
Lila finally potty trained through the month of July so Aunt Heidi delivered the promised princess dress! Lila picked a Belle dress and she was delighted when it came!
Chase got to play a lot of baseball this summer! He was on an awesome team this year and they won almost every game. He pitched a lot and improved so much. He also got so much better at hitting and even hit a home run! It was so fun to watch him play!
