Our Summer started off with a bang! We packed so much into those first few weeks!
Lila started pretty much every morning on the couch, with the iPad, and her blanky watching her shows. The boys get to watch on the big TV for a bit before mom makes them all turn off their screens and get going on jobs.
One evening while I went to a Relief Society dinner Ben and the kids "did science". This is what I came home to.
We paved the side of our house so we could park the new truck Ben wanted to buy (and then did buy- life dream realized!) and then bought a basketball hoop. Davis has spent so much time shooting hoops. He got to do a little basketball camp with his friends Graham and Grant and he absolutely loved it.
Our little lemon wearing lemons- I just can't resist this stuff.
Aunt Heidi came back from FRANCE! She is spending the whole summer in Utah and these kids are so excited-and rightly so. She's already spoiled them with so much love, presents, and fun outings.
We started swimming! Already so many hours at the pool!
One morning all the boys were working for Papa, so Ben and I took Lila out to breakfast. We love when we get a kid all to ourselves, and she really soaks it up.
We minigolfed at Cherry Hill one night. Ben didn't go with us last fall, so watching them all be crazy mini-golfers was new to him and they did not disappoint.
We walked along the Lagoon Trail with Nana one morning. It is so beautiful and it was so nice to be in nature and only a few minutes from our house! I carried Lila more than half the way, just par for the course.
We had a fun park afternoon. We were babysitting Graham and then Anna was also randomly free so we took her along. Davis and Graham ran around like crazy and Lila completely soaked in having Anna all to herself. She's in the stage where Nora and Anna are the absolute coolest and she loves attention from them.
The boys have been wanting to do Hill AirForce Base Museum forever and we made it a top priority on one of our first days. The boys loved it. One lady approached me to let me know that she was loving listening to them, analyze each plane, recite facts about it before we were even close enough to read the signs, and just be completely enthralled by the planes. I loved seeing them so happy!
We had a fun memorial day BBQ at the pool. The kids practiced putting and swam and we ate and visited and it was all so delightful and peaceful. I'm so thankful we have this beautiful place to hang out all summer.
