It's Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas!

Christmas festivities have officially commenced at the Hugo home!
Saturday night Ben and Chase went out in search of the perfect Christmas tree-
and contrary to Chase's opinion that we needed a "tiny tree"
and his lack of confidence in Ben's assurance that a bigger one would indeed fit inside the house-
they came home with a beautiful, and beautifully smelling tree.

Chase was so so excited to decorate it,
and we made him wait until Hudson was awake on Sunday morning.
Chase had a blast finding the perfect spot for each ornament (not that many of them have stayed on the tree since, they mostly get piled into the back of Mack and driven all over the house).
Hudson mostly just watched the decorating and played with a box.
We decided to start a new tradition this year-
that the boys get to open one present the night we decorate the tree-
which was Christmas jammies!
(This decision may have been influenced by the fact that I've been squeezing Hudson into size 6 month jammies and he was really needing another pair that actually fit)
I'll have to get a better picture of the boys in their jammies-
Chase's has a Santa on it and Hudson's has a reindeer.
Then on Monday night we had our family home evening at Temple Square!
It was the perfect night to go- it wasn't crowded at all and it was pretty warm for December.
Chase loved seeing the temple and all the lights.
This place is just magical.

  1. Oh, we need to make it down sometime again one of these Decembers; I love Temple Square at Christmastime. Glad you guys are enjoying the season. I love that Chase wanted a tiny tree, haha.

  2. Looks like you had a lot of fun! We should have thought to take Carter when it was warmer... too cold for the little guy now! Maybe next year :)
