Lila Fashion Show: A Year of Dresses

2023 remained a strong year for Lila's policy of "dresses only". She had some great ones this year.

We got her this dress for Christmas and it immediately became a favorite. So much that Ben hid it at one point because she wouldn't wear any of her other church dresses. Then he forgot where he hid it. So it was gone for a good six months. It was finally found and went back into a healthy rotation.
Our friend Megan gave Lila this little dress for her birthday and she absolutely loved it. I loved her in it, since she's my rainbow baby!
Her Easter dress! The dress is Tea Collection and I found it for a great deal on Zulily! I loved this one and so did Lila!
She looks so pretty in lavender and she loved this dress. Unfortunately, that neckline was a little wide and frequently fell off one shoulder. Hence, this was known (just by me) as her "off-the-shoulder" number.
She deviated a little from dresses to wear rompers! When I saw this at target I could not pass it up because I LOVE a good cherry print. When I was little I had a cherry dress I wore all the time. Lila also loved it.

Heidi got her this one for her birthday and I absolutely loved it. This was also around the time that Lila got more difficult for pictures if she was even slightly in an uncooperative mood.

I loved this romper so much. This was the one and only time Lila wore it. I'm glad I took a picture this day because it was so dang cute on her, even if she did refuse to wear it again.
This green sundress was always a favorite of mine. She had it in two colors and spent a good portion of the spring and summer in one of them.
This was my very favorite dress as a child! So much that when Heidi got to wear it several years later I was a little jealous! It was so fun to put my little daughter in it-she loved it too!
This dress was one of my very favorite. Lila also loved it- she's crying for other reasons in this picture (I believe it was that I made CHOCOLATE zucchini bread instead of REGULAR zucchini bread). She has now had four dresses from this brand (Milly loves Lilly) and they come in the cutest prints, they never wear out, and they are stretchy and comfy and show zero stains!
This dress! She got so into princesses this year and I just couldn't resist. I love how it's a princess dress, but also a normal dress. Everywhere we go she gets lots of compliments on it, and she eats them all up!
Katie gave her this one- it came in a multipack and Rosie didn't like it. Lila looks so cute in blue and wore it all the time! Also, it's hard to tell here, but the sleeves have a little puff to them that is just so darling.
Did I get her TWO of the baby gap princess tutu dresses? Yes, I did. And then we bought one for Rosie for her birthday so they could match. These cutie pie cousins are just the cutest little princesses!
This one was Lila's pick at Target and it looks so cute on her! I love these $8 Target dresses!
This one! So when Lila was a baby, Heidi gave her this dress in size 6 month. So when I saw it on Zulily in a 4T I had to order it! The nostalgia got to me! Lila loved that story that she had it also as a baby and wore it a lot (usually with black leggings under it because it shrunk a lot in the wash and got pretty short).

This was also the year that Lila found out about nightgowns. She could also sleep in a dress!?!? And all other forms of sleepwear were completely obsolete. For her Christmas jammies I scoured the internet to find her a cute Christmas nightgown, and the options were slim/expensive. I found this shop and scored this darling nightgown and she could not have been more thrilled! It's soft and ruffley and slighly pink and Christmas themed- everything she could want in her December sleepwear!

I bought her this dress in Paris! It was a splurge, but also so darling I just couldn't resist. I love a Liberty of London print. Luckily, Lila also LOVES this dress. And everytime someone compliments her on it she tells them "it's from Paris". She's such a spoiled little girl!
