Chase broke his glasses...again. I think the longest he's had one pair was like 14 months. Anyway, we went to the Target optical to get him an eye exam and new ones. He found a really cool pair, but Lila was SURE he should get these pink ones! (He didn't, but was a good sport to pose for a picture for me)
She walked out of her room like this one day- so proud of herself. Then she wanted makeup on. I put a little light eyeshadow on her eyes and she was super mad that it wasn't dark enough that she could really tell she was wearing makeup. I told her it was okay, it was subtle. She yelled back at me "I don't like SUBTLE!" Obviously, four bows in your hair also made that point.
The morning after Halloween- major sugar hangover at breakfast!
Hudson got invited to a birthday party at the laser tag place in the mall. It really wasn't enough time to leave and come back, so the little kids and I hung out there for a few hours while Hudson was at the party. We almost never go to the Layton Hills mall, but it was actually fun. They played on the playground. We shopped at Bath and Body works for neighbor Christmas gifts (soap) and the littles loved smelling every single candle in the store. We ended up at the food court. And although the orange julius was not nearly as good as I remember it, Davis was super impressed. We also rode the escalators about 20 times. Davis and Lila love the mall! Chase, Hudson and I went to see Nora is her school play, Newsies! It was so fun and she was darling.
Lila was pretty much refusing to pose in this little dress I bought her in Paris. She loves the dress though- she's worn it every Sunday since I brought it home!
Our Thankful Tree! I love this little tradition- I think this is the 9th year we've done it! I took this right before we headed out the door to Thanksgiving dinner, which I took no pictures of. We had dinner at Ray and Diane's this year. And since my parents didn't have other plans, they came along too! It was a fun night.
We started Thanksgiving morning going out to breakfast at IHOP. It was so fun- we can take all four kids to a restaurant and have a pleasant time! The boys can all order for themselves and wait patiently for food to come! Dreams do come true!
