FOUR KIDS

I can't believe I have four kids! The transition to four kids has been pretty smooth (pandemic/homeschooling/social distancing aside). One of my favorite parts of having a new baby in our family is seeing the new siblings bond with her. These boys are seriously the BEST big brothers!

Chase and Hudson are so helpful with this baby- legitimately helpful! They love to hold her any chance they get. Any time I need someone to hold Lila they both jump at the chance and are both so quick to hurry and wash hands before they hold her. I love to hear them talk to her. 

Chase can handle holding her really well, and even pick her up and walk around with her. He gets pretty frazzled when she cries, but he's learning better how to care for her. Hudson stays really calm when she cries, he calmly problem solves, giving her a binky, covering her with a blanky, stroking her face until she calms down.

And then there's Davis...oh sweet Davis! He is so darling with Lila! It took him about 10 days before he really wanted to hold her, but now he wants to all the time. She generally doesn't love him holding her and is pretty fussy, he is completely unphased by her crying and holds on tight to her and refuses to give her back! He insists "I hold her!" He also loves to squeeze her and say "So CUTE!" or "So TINY!" I literally cannot set her down if Davis is around because he'll try to pick her up (or even scarier- play a game where he jumps over her!). Luckily, since big brothers are home and not in school right now, I always have a willing baby holder around.

One day Lila was crying in her crib and I was downstairs. By the time I got upstairs Davis was IN THE CRIB, trying to pick her up and saying "It's okay Lila! I got you!" We now have a childlock on her door so he can't get in there.

I love the way all three of these boys have really just stepped up to the plate as big brothers! Chase and Hudson love to be the ones to pick out her clothes each day. They are so willing to go grab me blankets, diapers or binkies when I need them. They love to help with her baths. They are just so cute and doting! There has been zero jealousy or resentment for the time she takes up and nothing by just love and sweetness for this baby girl! Lila is so lucky to have these three as her big brothers!
