Lila is 2 months old! She had her check up at the doctor this morning. She's a tiny little thing- weighing in at 9 lbs 8 oz (9th percentile) and 22.5 inches (50th percentile). She got her shots and handled them so well, cried for a second and calmed almost immediately when I picked her up.
Having a baby girl is so fun! I love dressing her up and picking out a bow for each outfit. Sometimes I change her clothes half way through the day just for something fun to do- kind of like the real life version of playing dolls! She has so many darling little outfits too! Almost all of them are gifts, and a few hand me downs. I literally only bought ONE thing in the size she wears right now! Just before hitting 2 months she finally grew out of her newborn stuff and into her 0-3 month clothes.
She rarely spits up (such a change from her big brothers!). She's pretty content and loves being held. Since I'm a busy mama of four now, I just put her in the Ergo carrier for a big portion of the day and we are both pretty happy with that arrangement.
She started smiling and it's the most darling thing! With all my babies, seeing them smile just melts my heart! It's magical! She can roll from her tummy to her back (she did this for the first time at like 2 weeks old) so she doesn't do much tummy time- she generally lays there and screams, or just rolls to her back.
Her sleep has been a little hit and miss, she's not great at taking naps in her crib, but we are working on it. She sleeps in her crib in her room 100% of the nights now though! I put her down around 10:00 and she's been sleeping until about 3:30-4:00, eats and goes right back down until about 6:30-7:00 am. I can handle that, it's totally manageable. When I'm up feeding her in the middle of the night, I generally spend a little extra time rocking her. I love those moments when the whole house is dark and quiet and I get to just soak in the precious moments with my baby.
These next two outfits were mine as a baby! My parents didn't have an ultrasound and assumed I was another boy, so they didn't have anything girly when I was born. My mom sent my dad to the store to buy a few girly things and these two were what he came back with. My mom sweetly saved them, so we did a little photoshoot with Lila wearing them!
She wore this little bunny outfit for her first Easter! It looked darling on her. I told Ben once she was dressed "This is what all my little girl dreams are made of!" It was a gift from my Aunt Georgia and cousin Erin. That sweet little bunny was a gift from Nate and Halie.
This little tutu outfit is maybe my favorite thing ever! My mom bought it for her and it's truly the most "Courtney" thing I've ever seen! Also, this darling quilt she's laying on was made by my mom. It's so beautiful and sits on the rocking chair in the nursery. I snuggle up with it while nursing Lila in the middle of the night.

2 months with this little peach has just flown by! The world got flipped upside down shortly after she made her entrance with the coronavirus- while that's been challenging, it's also given us the chance to just be HOME and together for this sweet time in her life. I'm not running carpools, or kids to piano lessons, baseball practice or playdates. So while it's definitely been an exhausting time, it's also been so nice to have so much quality time together at home and as a family. This little girl has brought her own dose of peace and calm with her and I'm so thankful for her every single day!
